Stable Stocks
Welcome to Stable Stocks!
This game is my first game and first foray into Godot. This was made for the Farm Jam Summer Madness 2026 hosted by Figerox.
In Stable Stocks, I wanted to reverse the roles a bit and instead of being the farmer that inherits grandpas farm, you play the individual taking over the already established livestock farm and general goods store that supplies other farmers and townsfolk (Think Marnie and Pierre from Stardew)
You've rented a stall in town and the farm, stall, business and all is on the line if you can't pay the bank. Feed, water, and care for your animals to ensure they grow quick and healthy before market day, some animals may help find other things the townspeople would be interested in and you may be able to increase your animals value in unexpected ways.
The more you establish yourself the higher your reputation increases and the more townsfolk will be willing to pay for your goods. You may even be able to haggle for higher income. Townsfolk will even make requests to you via mail but be careful, if you haggle the wrong person or accept a request you can't complete your reputation could be on the line. Don't forget, baby animals are an extra cost to the local farmers so you'll only be able to sell adult livestock.
